Simple Energy®

Simple Energy entered Indias electric mobility market at a moment when the shift had moved from experimentation to scale. As EV adoption accelerated, trust was no longer earned through hardware alone. It depended equally on software, service, and story. The opportunity was to treat brand not as surface, but as infrastructure from day zero.

The mandate was to build a brand system and digital foundation capable of supporting rapid national expansion before fragmentation set in. Simples ambition for sharper engineering and cleaner mobility needed to be expressed consistently across vehicles, digital interfaces, retail environments, and future product lines, while leaving room for iteration as the organisation evolved.

Our work focused on designing the brand and digital ecosystem as a single connected system. Identity was built to perform across physical and digital contexts, supported by a modular design language and scalable UI behaviours. Strategy, product thinking, and design were developed in parallel, allowing decisions made early to carry through as the business moved from prototype to production.

The result is an EV brand designed for coherence at scale, able to grow across channels and services without visual or experiential noise. For Lazy Eight, the engagement reinforced a clear pattern in emerging mobility companies. When brand, product, and system are designed together from the beginning, scale becomes a discipline rather than a risk.
