From campus startup to India’s aerial intelligence leader.

Founded at IIT Kanpur as Aarav Unmanned Systems, the company built deep expertise in drone hardware and software long before UAVs entered the mainstream. A decade later the technology, data systems and flight hours were world class, but the name still felt campus bound. The founders wanted a brand designed for global airspace and brought Lazy Eight in to lead the transformation.

We began with the rename. AEREO is short, border agnostic and derived from the idea of breath and altitude. The identity carries that sense of flight. A feather inspired infinity loop anchors the mark, while sky range blues and contour line textures reference both air and terrain. Motion language rises and banks like a drone in autonomous flight, creating a system that feels dynamic but controlled.

The identity was engineered for scale. Colour ramps extend cleanly across industry verticals including mining, agriculture and infrastructure. The wordmark nests easily into partner lockups, and UI components drop directly into fleet dashboards and control systems. From pitch decks to payload cases, the brand moves with the same precision as the aircraft it represents.

Today AEREO leads India’s drone services market and is expanding internationally with a brand built for altitude. Proof that technical excellence reaches its full potential when identity and product are designed to fly together.
