Roasting a neighbourhood idea into India’s coffee icon.

Blue Tokai began as a tiny roastery with one bet: Indians were ready for specialty coffee. The beans were flawless, the in-store vibe was dialled, but the brand platform needed muscle to scale beyond four walls.

Lazy Eight came in at that inflection. We translated the sensory, slow-roast experience into a digital one-click ritual—Shopify UX built for discovery as much as conversion, story-driven product pages, tasting-note colour cues, and subscription flows that matched brewing cycles at home.

Offline we rolled out the first packaging grid and investor collateral, so bag, box and pitch deck all carried the same aroma of craft. Every asset was built for volume—easy line-extensions, co-lab SKUs and future cold-brew cans baked in from day one.

Fast-forward: Blue Tokai is the verb for good coffee in India—dozens of cafés, thriving e-commerce, beans on international shelves. Proof that if you set the brand foundation early, a local roastery can become a continental ritual.
